P1 Beginner Rating
This course will start with ground school sessions and practical lessons in how to ground-handle the paraglider at the landing field to flying of a 40 meter high training hill.
This course will give you all the basics in theoretical knowledge and practical skills before you start with “High Mountain” flights, which will be covered in the P2 Novice Course.
Ground school:
This course will include a minimum of 12 hours in classroom lectures covering Aerodynamics, Meteorology, Air Regulations, Risk Management and how to handle and maintain flight gear.
Practical Lessons:
This will also include the basics in how to Launch, “ground handle” and land a paraglider on the flat or light sloped area leading to your first flights from our 40 meter high practice hill.
*This includes the HPAC student log book and the P1 Beginner HPAC written exam.
Cost:
5 days of Beginner P1 training – which can be done over 2 weekends or in 5 consecutive days.
$1650.00 +GST per person
*You have the option to book and pay per weekend $825.00 +GST per person
